Want to know more about working at our R&D Department? Here's a little about our colleague Albert and what it's like to work at Ferroamp.

Albert Bassa joined Ferroamp after finishing his masters studies. He has been involved in many different areas of the R&D Department and is now working as a Technical Project Lead.

As he recalled his first days at Ferroamp, he remarked, "Back when I started, Ferroamp was a small start-up just shipping the first products to our customers. One of these products was Ferroamp batteries, and I was hired to perform their testing and qualification."

"I have grown so much with the company in many different ways. I began my journey with Ferroamp when we were a start-up, while now we are a scale-up company where we need to be more organized and have high quality with our deliveries. The best part about working at Ferroamp is that I am still learning everyday!"

On explaining the day to day activities within the R&D Department, he said "In our team we start every morning with a short stand-up meeting to plan the work of the day and identify any obstacles that we have found. After that it depends a lot on the stage of development, I can spend hours in the lab, reviewing designs or planning our work. The day-to-day tasks change for a power electronics designer."

"If I had to describe Ferroamp in 3 words, I would describe it as challenging, rewarding and fun. I could even add a few more words to the list! One important thing to realize is that even though there are many opportunities in the industry for power electronic designers, not all of them involve a cleaner sustainable future."
